Tha is having a baby - her tenth. She already works all day trying to feed her other children, and doesn't want anymore.
After 25 years of bloody civil war in Cambodia, in which men were killed by the hundreds of thousands, up to 75% of rural households are now headed by women. This film shows the work of Toh, a local midwife, who devotes her spare time to helping other poor women in a region with one of the world's highest rates of maternal mortality and where health services are almost nonexistent.
